About

Christ the King Engineering College has proactively working women’s cell. The motto of Women Cell is to develop women’s skills and qualities for best personality. The cell is an attempt to create a platform where girls will have access to health care, career and vocational training, employment, safety measures and legal judicial Knowledge about domestic violence and personal assault through its various programs. It aims to promote education, training and professional development that creates a sense of community spirit in them.


Objective
  • To develop self esteem and self confidence among women students, teaching and non teaching staff.
  • To help overall personality development, by adopting a multidisciplinary approach.
  • To enhance awareness of women related social issues, health, employment and gender related matters.
  • To facilitate a gender-sensitive and pleasing working environment at campus so that women employees and female students are not subjected to gender specific discrimination or sexual harassment.
  • To increase awareness of feminine potential.
  • To provide guidance about women welfare laws.

  • Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Organize awareness campaigns to enlighten the college community on gender-relatedissues and the rights of women.
  • Foster understanding among students and faculty regarding the significance of genderequality and the need for respectful conduct.
  • Take proactive measures to address and curb instances of sexual harassment ordiscrimination within the campus environment.
  • Advocate for a culture that staunchly opposes any type of gender-based violence orharassment.
  • Offer counseling and support to female students, faculty, and staff facing challengesrelated to gender issues.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for incoming female students to introduce them to theservices and resources available through the Women Empowerment Cell.
  • Champion and facilitate the involvement of women in leadership capacities within theinstitution.
  • Disseminate information about available health resources, encompassing reproductivehealth, mental wellness, and general well-being programs.
